Abstract:
Toward a Multimedia Educational Environment for Music Major Students
@Nagoya College of Music was founded in 1976. In 2000, Computer Music Major was established. And new curriculum applied to all courses in our college has been in operation from 2000. In this new curriculum, not only the computer music major students, but also all of the students of Nagoya College of Music can learn in the computer music classes.
@Multimedia educational environment needs esoundf as well asegraphicsf. Multimedia educational environment for Music major students needs sound-media educational environment in its core. Music colleges need to contribute to sound-media education especially in multimedia education.
@Our college has two facilities, named Multimedia Laboratory and Music Laboratory, started their use from April 2000. All the student of our college can use them all the time from 9:00am to 9:00pm. Multimedia Laboratory has 44 computers equipped with Tone Generator, Sound Keyboard and Music Sequencer. Music Laboratory has 16 Macintosh PC and 5 Windows PC.
